Everlast Welcomes Alycia Baumgardner to the Team 

Everlast Worldwide, the choice of champions of professional athletes, today announces the exclusive signing of Alycia Baumgardner, the undisputed Super Featherweight World Champion and rising star of women’s boxing. 

Proudly from Fremont, Ohio, and fighting out of Detroit, Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner has burst onto the scene with unprecedented levels of popularity with matchmaker Eddie Hearn stating, “[Alycia] made the boxing world stand up and take notice that she’d arrived at the top table.” 

Speaking on the state of boxing and her place in the sport as an icon of this generation, Alycia remarks, “There are so many young girls now who are fighting and I think that’s amazing because now they have many women to look up to [and] different stories to relate to. I think that’s what we need and that’s where women’s boxing has progressed to, and I am part of this movement.” 

The journey began humbly with wrestling at the age of four, which led to boxing at the age of eight. Alycia, who came from a family of boxers, started at Fremont Wreckers gym where she learned the Mexican style of fighting from her grandmother, Maria Guzman. Before eventually landing in Detroit, she would go on to train at several other gyms in the region, studying several other styles and skills that fully utilize her speed, power, and unique natural athleticism. This journey helped round out Alycia as one of the most stylistically versatile, dynamic, and dangerous female fighters in the sport and eventually led to her claiming the title of undisputed champion in dominant fashion. The title of undisputed world champion, however, is far from the limit of Alycia’s legacy, who is seeking to define this era of boxing, “We’re going to keep breaking down those doors, breaking down barriers, saying ‘I’m here! I’m here to show the world greatness and to inspire the younger generation.”

Baumgardner is scheduled to make her first undisputed world super featherweight title defense at The Masonic Temple Detroit in Detroit, Michigan on July 15, 2023, against the former two-time WBO female junior-welterweight champion Christina Linardatou, who handed Baumgardner the sole loss of her professional career.
